Yeah… Earlier this year I was diagnosed with epilepsy. Now with ADHD.
It’s more precisely ADD, but it is simply a sub-category of ADHD, just missing the “H” for “hyperactive”. This means that outwards I am not climbing on the walls and super-multitasking (not all the time, at least). But inside the mind… that’s warzone. Constant, never-ending barrage of multiple thoughts at once, so that you’re unable to form a single coherent thought.
This inner chaos causes executive dysfunction which shows itself mainly as the inability to start tasks, or focus on one thing.
So, now it’s confirmed that some things in my behaviour are NOT a personality trait, but a result of undiagnosed neurological disorder, which I simply haven’t been able to control, as it is impossible to “power through”.
